Here are some of the people responsible for Stafford’s continued success and quality service:
Curtis J. Stafford – President
Curtis, a fourth-generation member of the Stafford family, joined Stafford Oil in May 2006 after spending several years working for real estate investment firms in Boston. Curtis received a degree in computer engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Boston College. He is a Director of the Oil Heat Council of New Hampshire, a corporator of Bank of New Hampshire, an incorporator of the Belknap County Economic Development Council, and an incorporator of the Taylor Community. He is an active member of the Laconia Rotary Club, which strives to help the local community. Curtis and his wife Brigitte enjoy spending their free time skiing, hiking, golfing and taking part in other outdoor activities with their three sons.
Charles D. Stafford – Vice President
Right after graduation from UNH, Charles Stafford (“Charlie”) joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam from March of 1969 until March of 1970. Charlie, a third-generation member of the Stafford family, joined Stafford Oil full time right after his military release in 1970. His extensive community involvement includes being an active member of Laconia Rotary, an incorporator of Belknap County Economic Development Council, a member of Masonic Lodge, Bektash Shrine Club, VFW Post 1670, American Legion Post 1, Elks Lodge 876 and a Life Member of NH Veterans Association. Charlie previously served as Chairman of Lakes Region United Way, Director of Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, Director of Lakes Region YMCA, President of Laconia Rotary and a Director with Village Bank & Trust. He and his wife Bette enjoy time with family and friends as well as golf, boating and traveling.
Steve Laramie – General Manager
Steve joined the company in 2016 after working at EFI for 15 years where he served as Director of Mechanical Engineering. He received a degree in mechanical engineering from MIT and later obtained his MBA. Steve has a passion for sports and has coached youth softball, baseball, soccer, and football and has served as a board member for the Laconia Youth Football program. He is currently a member of the Laconia Elks Lodge #876 and enjoys volunteering in the community. Steve and his girlfriend Sue enjoy spending time with their blended family of four children, sampling the local cuisines, and appreciating the natural beauty our amazing area has to offer.
Brenda Williams – HR/Accounting Manager
Brenda came on board in 1998 and is responsible for Stafford Oil’s HR, payroll, benefits, and accounting, as well as administration of our office personnel. Brenda enjoys time with family (especially at the beach), camping, kite flying with her husband Mark, and road trips to anywhere!
Jeff Stone – Operations Manager
Jeff started with Stafford Oil as a mechanic in 2002 with the responsibility of maintaining the entire fleet of vehicles, from large tractor trailers to the smaller service vans. Earlier in his career, he served four years in the United States Navy as a Diesel Mechanic. Jeff was later promoted to the role of Operations Manager and his responsibilities now include overseeing Stafford’s residential and commercial delivery departments and managing Stafford’s facilities. Jeff and his wife Katy have 2 boys and Jeff has coached and served on the board of numerous Laconia youth sports programs, most notably Laconia Little League. When not at Stafford Oil, you will find Jeff watching his sons at baseball games or lacrosse games, or enjoying the outdoors while hunting and fishing throughout the Lakes Region.
Michael Goudouros – Convenience Stores Manager
Mike manages our company owned and operated convenience stores. He has over 30 years of experience, the last 12 of those years with Stafford Oil. The longevity of employees in our store locations is a credit to Mike’s outstanding management. In his free time, Mike is a coach for CYO basketball at St. George in Manchester and is a coach and vice president with South Jr. Deb Softball. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
Roger Oertel – Assistant Service Manager
Roger began his career delivering fuel in 1972 and has worn many hats in his 38 years in our industry. He owned his own company from 1985 until 2004 and his years of experience and education contribute to Stafford Oil’s customer-friendly service department. Roger enjoys spending time with his family boating, swimming and snowmobiling.
Kim Haddock – Customer Service Manager
Kim was born and raised in Laconia and has been with Stafford Oil nearly 14 years. She is exemplary when it comes to good customer service! In addition to managing and training our Customer Service Support staff, Kim is the “go to person” if you have any questions about your Stafford Oil invoice or statement. She also is our United Way campaign coordinator and a very active supporter of locally owned and operated businesses, with a grassroots approach to change. When not working, Kim enjoys time with her son, Bryson. She also enjoys reading, music and the arts, trivia, crocheting, biking, living “green” and exploring Boston and New York City.
Lib Hofmann – Dispatch / Delivery Manager
Lib Hofmann has 23 years of experience in the oil heat industry. Stafford is fortunate to have had Lib as Dispatch Manager for the last 12 years. Customer satisfaction rates high on her list of personal and professional goals. Lib is a true New England sports fan, cheering on the Red Sox and Celtics. She also enjoys camping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Eric Fecteau – Dispatch / Delivery Manager
Eric manages our Delivery/Dispatch Dept. along with his co-manager, Lib Hofmann. Together they keep a strong focus on getting deliveries to all our customers in spite of the sometimes challenging weather! Eric and his dog reside in Laconia and he enjoys riding motorcycles, playing guitar, golfing, and being with family!
Michelle Gardner – Dispatch / Delivery Manager
Michelle is well versed in the oil industry, having started her career in 1998, and recalls the days when the cost of heating fuel was $0.59 a gallon! She’s one of the friendly voices you’ll hear when it’s time to fill up your tank. Her laugh is infectious and she wears that smile often in the office. Michelle loves animals and spoils her Yorkie frequently. In her personal time, Michelle enjoys Bingo, attends country music concerts, and spends time at the beach after the long cold winters of New England. She prefers to be inside during the winter, which makes her the perfect match for our dispatch department!
